Jruas looked over to Ellwindris, "See you on the other side." He winked at her before walking through the portal which led to the faire. She looked at the portal nervously before jumping through, there she found Jruas on his chopper waiting for her. He had a wicked smile on his face, Oh Elune, what did I just get myself into? She hopped into the side car and Jruas raced off, barely giving her time to actually sit down. Jruas popped a wheelie and hit the nitro, "Woah! Jruas, Gnome! Watch out for that gnome!" Ellwindris covered her eyes as they nearly missed turning a gnome into roadkill, she could hear angry shouts fading behind her. She called over her shoulder, "Sorry!"
She turned back to Jruas with a frown, "Next time I'm driving!" Jruas chuckled and finally slowed to a steady and smooth pace. Ellwindris let out a sigh relief and looked up at the large sign they were just now driving under. Ellwindris felt uneasy about the giant eyeball looking around, it brought back not so fond memories. Her uneasiness however, was quickly replaced with wonder. The faire was exploding with sights and sounds. Ellwindris stared in amazement as both Horde and Alliance walked around at the faire, participating in the faire games together.
Ellwindris sighed, "Now if only they could do this outside of the faire.." Jruas tapped her on the shoulder and pointed in a different direction. Ellwindris followed his finger and found what he was pointing at. It was faire game, and it appeared to involve using a large hammer to smash some stuffed gnolls. Ellwindris grinned wickedly, "Oh! That game looks fun!" Ellwindris' fingers itched to use the large hammers they were giving to the people. Ellwindris nearly jumped out of the side car to race over to the game, but Jruas had held her back. Jruas chuckled, "You have to buy game tokens first."
Ellwindris frowned, "Oh, right." Ellwindris looked around, "Where do we get some?" Jruas laughed and kicked back on the engine of the chopper and turned back around towards the entrance, he was heading towards a smaller tent where a goblin was handing out sacks that were presumably filled with coins. Ellwindris nodded, "Ah, right." Jruas parked the chopper next to the tent and tapped on Ellwindris' shoulder again, handing her some gold coins to buy some game tokens. Ellwindris smiled, "Thanks." She quickly returned with a giant sack of game tokens, laughing as she returned to find that Jruas had only gotten the measly five game token pack.
Jruas chuckled as Ellwindris handed him a few coins, "Now we have to go play that gnoll smashing game!" Jruas parked his chopper next to the game tent, Ellwindris threw a game token at the faire worker and quickly grabbed the largest hammer she could find. She heaved it over her shoulder and charged at the dummy gnolls. One after one, she smashed their faces in which quickly accumulated in vast amounts of points. She was sure to not hit any of the babies or whatever they were, after she finished and collected her Darkmoon prize, she watched Jruas.
She nearly fell to the ground laughing as she watched him swing at anything that moved, even the babies! Surprisingly enough, he was able to get enough points for the prize. Jruas stood beside Ellwindris, "Took about half-way through the game to realize what I wasn't supposed to hit." He chuckled, "Which game should we try next?" Ellwindris turned and scanned the faire before finally pointing, "There! The one with the giant cannon!" Jruas laughed and followed Ellwindris as she trotted over, handing the gnome a game token. Before Ellwindris stepped into the cannon she turned and winked at Jruas, "Bet I can beat you!"
With that, she was fired and sent soaring across the faire, her cheers could easily be heard overhead. Just as Ellwindris neared the target, she flipped into a ball and splashed right in the middle, netting her the whole five points. She quickly swam out of the way and awaited Jruas. Not long after Jruas was flying through the air, he was waving his arms widely at her as if trying to get her attention. However, he wasn't paying attention to where he was landing and quickly made contact with the water which made a loud SMACK noise. Everyone there visibly winced, Ellwindris let out a sigh of relief when he finally surfaced, "You had me worried!" Ellwindris who was now on shore, tapped her foot as she waited for Jruas to come out of the water.
He slowly made his way to shore, being sure to take the time to splash some water at Ellwindris. Ellwindris frowned at him and was clearly not amused, "You should be more careful! I would have no idea what I would do if my Shan'do got hurt!" Ellwindris' cheeks blushed as Jruas smiled at her, "How about we get some food?" Ellwindris nodded, making her way with Jruas to the food court. There they found a large arrange of foods laid out. She turned as Jruas came walking over to her with two plates, both had smoked squid with a side of freshly made crab cakes, with some nectar as a drink. Ellwindris smiled, "I knew you would go find something like this." The two sat down at an empty table and began to dig in.
The two had quickly ate their meals, it was after all their favorite kind of food. The other faire goers however, were not fond of their slurping as they sucked down the tentacles. One goblin had actually lost his lunch as they finished eating. I suppose it isn't for everyone. A bit of an acquired taste. Ellwindris giggled at that thought as Jruas led her over to some deserts. He turned and looked at her, "Mind if I try picking out the one you like?" Ellwindris grinned, "Of course." Ha, honestly I like everything there. There's no chance he'd get it wrong anyways. Ellwindris watched as Jruas browsed over the assortments of cakes, pies, cupcakes and cookies.
Ellwindris peered over Jruas' shoulder a bit as he finally made a purchase. Ellwindris took a step back as Jruas turned with a red velvet cupcake in his hand, with a grin across his face. Ellwindris smiled and took the red velvet cupcake, she took a large bite out of the cupcake, leaving a remainder of frosting on her nose. Jruas chuckled and wiped it off her nose with a napkin, they both seemed to blush and it grew silent for a few moments. The two quickly ate their desert and threw away the garbage.
Just as Ellwindris was going to turn to Jruas, a voice came across the entire faire. Ellwindris grinned, “A concert?! Let’s go check it out, they are almost about to start!” Ellwindris tugged at Jruas who reluctantly nodded and followed. There were already many other faire goers at the concert, some were standing while others sat. Just as they arrived, the concert begun. The music was loud, but Ellwindris smiled with glee. She almost fell over laughing as she turned and saw Jruas busting a move. He yelled over the loud music, “Care to dance?!” Ellwindris giggled before finally joining him, soon a whole crowed at the concert started dancing and busting moves. One fellow had the guts to hop on stage and dance but was quickly escorted away by a few bouncers. As quickly as the concert had started, it almost felt like it was over in an instant, Time always flies when you’re having fun I suppose. After all the games and fun they had at the faire, Jruas decided he wanted to end it with a quiet and peaceful walk on the beach.
The two walked down the beach together, hand in hand. The threat of attack loomed over the two as they left the faire grounds but Jruas didn't seemed phased at all. The pair stopped and Ellwindris looked at Jruas, “ Aren't you afraid we’ll be attacked?” Jruas smiled warmly at her, “I’d rather risk attack from Horde if it meant never spending moments like this with you.” Ellwindris blushed and hugged Jruas close, burying her face into his neck. Thus ending a fun filled night for the two.
